Technology House – Hemel Hempstead
Brief: Provide waterproofing and falls to two number outlets at the centre courtyard area to achieve a u value of 0.18W/m2k. Challenges: Access to the area was restricted and getting materials to the area was going to be costly. Working with the client we got all materials early to site and when lifting the deck in all materials were lift and put into the building providing a cost saving in labour to get materials to the area. Works: Prime the CLT timber deck and install new vapour barrier. Install cut to falls insulation and two layer built up felt system. Specification: Self-adhesive vapour barrier PU adhesive Insulation forming the falls. Self-adhesive underlay Torch on Cap sheet.
